This year at Domaine Morisseau, in the heart of the Beaujolais-Villages, has been one of contrasts — a vintage that tested our patience, challenged our vines, and ultimately rewarded us with what may become one of our finest wines ever produced.

A Growing Season of Extremes
From the very start, nature set the tone for the 2025 vintage in Beaujolais.A humid spring encouraged mildew pressure across the vineyards, followed by a late summer drought that pushed the vines to their limits. The result: very low yields, around 20 hectoliters per hectare — making this one of the smallest harvests in our estate’s history.
Concentrated Grapes, Exceptional Balance
As often happens in wine, hardship has its silver lining. The surviving grapes are small and incredibly concentrated, showing deep color, rich texture, and vibrant acidity. The balance between ripeness and freshness is striking — a hallmark of truly great Beaujolais vintages.

Perfect Maturity, Pure Aromas
The 2025 growing season ran slightly earlier than 2024, but cool nights and slow, steady ripening allowed the fruit to reach perfect phenolic maturity and aromatic intensity. From the first tastings, the wines reveal beautiful purity, fine tannins, and rare depth — expressing both the struggle and harmony of the year.
A Landmark Vintage for Domaine Morisseau
Everything points to 2025 being a landmark vintage for Domaine Morisseau — small in volume, but extraordinary in soul.Only a few lucky ones will have the chance to taste it… and we can’t wait to share it with you soon.
